vertex weights option not visible in Pro

JohnH 4 years ago updated by Peter - Soxware Developer 4 years ago 3

I have just gotten Pro and am going through the tutorials.

It appears I do not have Vertex Weights available in the Pose Editor/Display tab.

Is there something I am missing???

Thank you.

UMotion Version:
Pro
Unity Version:
2019.2.8

Hi John,

thank you very much for your support request.

The vertex weight display option was removed in UMotion V1.15 due to incompatibility with newer Unity versions. It was only a visualization feature and did not allow to modify the actual vertex weights. Thus it wasn't really used that much anyway.

Where have you stumbled across this feature (I should note the deprecation there)?

Best regards,
Peter

I encountered this on your initial tutorials.  It was in the one just going through the elements/areas of the Clip Editor and the Pose Editor.  I believe the tutorial right after the first QuickStart video, Installation and first steps maybe?

Ah ok, thanks. It's in the video about the "Pose Editor". I've added a note to the description of that video (I think Youtube unfortunately has no way to add a text overlay to the video anymore...).
