Can we enable / disable layer mask based on current frame?

Hi,

I'm wondering if for example I can enable my additive layer mask on frame 50 and disable it on frame 60? I need to specifically pose the fingers in that timeframe to grab another character.

Best Regards.

Hi skinwalker,
thanks for your support request. Unfortunately, key framing the layer controls (weight, enabled/disabled etc.) is currently not supported. I have it on my user wish list but I can't promise right now if and when such a feature would be impelmented.

Please let me know in case you have any follow-up question.

Best regards,
Peter

GOOD, I'M SATISFIED

Okay, I hope you implement this useful feature soon!

Hello,

Sorry for bumping my old post, but I'd like to know if currently it's possible to enable / disable a layermask on a specific frame. It's so easy to edit layer masks and sometimes I need a tiny bit of movement of the arms only during a specific interval of frames (because the arms clip into the body), if I use a layer mask it will edit during the entire animation, but the problem only appears on specific frames. is there an easy solution to fix that issue if enabling a layermask on a frame interval is not possible?

Hi skinwalker,
an animation layer can only be enabled/disabled globally/per animation. But you can control at which frames you want to add a correction to your animation. The additive animation layer is just an offset that is added on top of the existing animation. Make the offset zero at the frames where you don't want any change and make it > 0 at those where you want some corrections.

Best regards,
Peter
