Hi, i have a walk animation im going to use in a meccanim root motion locomotion.

Is it possible to use umotion to edit this animation to make it walk left and right ?

And if so, could you point me in the right direction?

thank you very much for your support request.

Do you mean you want to make a "walk sidewards" animation out of a "walk forward" animation? If that's the case you might consider creating a new animation (or use a free "walk sidewards" animation from the asset store as a starting point). You probably don't have any benefit from editing the "walk forward" animation as the movement is different when walking sidwards.

If you just want to add some rotation to the character to slightly adjust the direction of the root motion, you could add an additive animation layer and then add some rotation to the root bone (at the first frame). This rotation will then rotate the entire animation. In the video I've posted above I'm also using an additive animation layer, you can take this as a reference.
