I've made some animations on my Goblin character with this humanoid rig structure...

Now I have another "MainCharacter" with a slightly different humanoid rig structure that I want to use those Goblin animations on...

But when I try to configure MainCharacter for the Goblin Umotion project I get this error...

What am I doing wrong? How can I fix this? Do I have to restructure the new character's rig?

thank you very much for your support request.

A UMotion project can only be shared between characters if they have the exact same armature (i.e. when you copied the armature in a 3D modeling application and skinned the second character to it).

If you want to share animations between characters, you need to export them to *.anim or *.fbx. The humanoid animation system will then do it's best to map the animation to the different armature. If you want to fine tune that animation on your second character, create a new humanoid UMotion project and import the *.anim.
