I went through the Umotion tutorials on non play mode editing, but when I try to follow a similar process for play mode editing I don't see my active animation clips in the timeline down below. can you make a video showing the steps?

Hi wirelessdreamer,
thank you very much for reaching out.

You need to pause play mode (click on the pause button) to start animating. The process to use UMotion during paused play mode is exactly the same as during edit mode. Open a UMotion project (if it isn't already opened) and drag & drop the character that should be animated into the Pose Editor.

Please let me know if you have any follow up questions.

Best regards,

I know new animations can be created like that, but how do I edit the current animation that is already on the character?

If the animation is not in your UMotion project yet, you have to import it first: (Pro 1) Importing Animations - UMotion Official Tutorials

If you want to edit animations you already have in your UMotion project, just select them in the clip selection drop down (in the Clip Editor) and start animating :-)

Best regards,
