i have a character with a sword in his hand and one on his waist wanted to know if and how i could have the sword in his hand invisible until he appears to pull the sword from his waist then it is visible and the one own his waist is invisible so it looks as if he pulled the sword i wqaant to animate this option on the time line is this possible?

You can use the "Custom Property" constraint to animate any property of any of your character's components. So you can use a custom property to animate the "enable" flag of your Mesh Renderer component of your swords.

More information about how you can use the "Custom Property Constraint" to animate component properties can be found in the manual (see "Pose Editor / Constraint System / Custom Property"). The "Component Property" mode (see related headline) is what you are looking for.
