Hello,

I seem to have an issue with my modified animatons when I export the file to an .fbx extension.

When smoothing the animations and making sure the model reacts accordingly, when I export the file, the models seem to stutter and contort in ways that were not present during the editing process. Do you know what causes these issues and how they can be rectified?

The extension file methods I used were:

File Format:

Fbx Binary 2011

Fbx Binary 2018

Fbx ASCII 2018

Write Mode:

Export As New File

Keyframe Reduction:

Lossless

Lossy

File Scale:

0.01

Hi Devant,
thank you very much for your support request.

By default, Unity compresses animation clips imported from *.fbx files. This compression can cause "stuttering" artifacts. You can adjust the amount of the compress (or completely disable it) by selecting the *.FBX file in Unity's Project Window then in the Inspector Window, open the "Animation" tab and check out the "Anim. Compression" settings.

More information about animation compression can be found at this page in the Unity manual: https://docs.unity3d.com/560/Documentation/Manual/FBXImporter-Animations.html

Please let me know if this solves your issue.

Best regards,
Peter
