Hey Peter!

Love the asset; getting back to familiarizing myself with it. So far, both the FK and IK animation styles are incredibly intuitive and easy to do in UMotion.

I'm struggling to animate hips for any character. Is it possible to "lock" the feet in place for humanoid characters while moving the hips/root transform?

I have finalIK, so I can use the callback function to do hip movements based on the solver, but I'd rather get build my skills hand animating before relying on other plugins. Thanks!

Hi Jeremy,
thank you very much for your support request.

What you are looking for is called "IK Pinning". When enabled, an IK handle is keeping it's position in world-space even moving if you move a parent bone.

IK Pinning uses the Child-Of constraint in the background, thus I always recommend watching that video tutorial before the IK Pinning tutorial:

All other video tutorials can be found in the "video tutorials" chapter of the manual.
